What A Busy Month!

I was not kidding when I said we had a busy month ahead of us in the last post! We managed to move into our new house over the course of 4 days, albeit with more than little bit of drama involved. We were to take possession of the house on April 30th. Our sellers had their baby the DAY of our closing. They signed documents from the labor room at the hospital. After the wife gave birth, the husband was left to pack up the house. We got several calls from our realtor saying the sellers realtor wanted to relay that the seller would do their best to be out April 30th. After many respectful yet stern phone calls, we made it clear that they had no choice but to be out on the 30th, new baby or not. We had a moving truck and no where to go!

Luckily, they managed to be out by the 30th. The place was filthy as you can imagine. I spent 3 hours just cleaning the kitchen. In fact, Brinks was at our new house setting up the alarm. He and I arrived at the same time on the 30th. He told me it would take 2.5 hours to install our security system. He finished installing and setting up before I had finished cleaning out the fridge. It was that bad people! I will of course spare you the details ;)

Anyway, thanks to the help of our family we are all moved in. The boxes are unpacked, everything is in its place. The only thing we haven't done is hang our pictures and shelves on the wall. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new sofa and loveseat. Since I am picky (I know you aren't shocked!), it took me awhile to find what I wanted. Of course when I found comfortable yet stylish couches, they had to be special ordered. That tacked 6 weeks on to my purchase. No worries though, when they get here it will be worth it! I won't put up pics of the house until I have my couches. Sorry guys, I don't have the full vision yet to show everyone!

Just a side note on the pics, they are taken in the new house. Braden likes to sit in Fifi's dog beds. I don't know why, but he prefers it. I try to vacuum them often because of this. More pics to come!
