I went to the doctor on Thursday, and I am still 1 cm dilated. I think this kid is trying to hang in there until Feb 12th or later, but I am determined that he will be here before then. There really is no news to report other than that. With as stressful as work has been lately, I am surprised he hasn't just decided to make an appearance there. If dealing with angry senior citizens all day won't make Braden come out, I don't know what will! Stay tuned!

Braden's Room!

Braden's room is finally finished and organized. We are just waiting on a few more decorations to arrive courtesy of Brad's mom, but once they get here it will be totally done. Can you believe I was able to find not only lamb bedding, but a lamb wall border as well? I know Brad was thrilled ;) I finally have a room to proudly display all of the sheep I have received over the years. Well maybe not ALL, because I have a lot of them. But quite a few!

Here is an update on our pregnancy so far- We were 1cm dilated at the last MDO (can you tell I now work in insurance?) I am having contractions every day, though none are regular enough to be "labor contractions." Braden's room is in disarray after our wonderful baby shower and I don't have a bag packed for either of us for the hospital. I did manage to attend my childbirth classes and breastfeeding classes, so thank goodness he held out til I was done with those. Now we are just waiting for him to grace us with his presence, and hopefully by that point the room will be organized and our bags will be packed. Unfortunately, there hasn't been enough time to relax lately let alone get everything done. I am working a lot of overtime for work because of our "busy" season, and Brad starts his new job within CitiGold next week. We basically have things planned every weekend until Braden gets here, so January and the beginning of February should fly by!

Baby Shower!

Here are a couple of pics from our baby shower, thrown by Brad's Aunt Nancy. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it, it was such a great time! Brad and I received so many wonderful gifts for the baby. This child will have a sports themed outfit to wear everyday for six months, and if you know Brad that is a good thing. He loves baseball, and thank goodness we are having a boy, because they just don't make too many baseball themed onesies for girls.

Welcome to Our Blog!

Hello all! Since we have family living all over the country, we decided to keep a blog to help share pictures and stories of our lives. This is especially important to us since Braden Ray Dirheimer will be here any time now (arrival date 2.12.2008). Brad and I are keeping are fingers crossed that he comes a little earlier than that. Let's face it, I am done being pregnant and I think he is done listening to me complain about being pregnant! Hopefully we will update this often with pictures and posts. Stay tuned for more fun stuff to come!
